A firm favourite from previous Lions Tours, our popular Gullivers Lions Clubhouse Events are back again in Australia. These are included in your package where highlighted in the itinerary. Previous events include sit down Q and A’s, lively pub events with live music, wine tastings and local rugby club events. With a great atmosphere and true rugby camaraderie, these included events are sure to be highlights of your trip. As always there will be opportunities to hear from Lions Legends, previous guests include Gavin Hastings, Ben Kay, Scott Gibbs, Richard Hill, Scott Quinnell, Martyn Williams and many more. As members of the Platinum Tour you will receive an enhanced drinks package at these events.
A major highlight of touring with Gullivers is the opportunity to see Ex Lions legends at our events. After the major success of NZ 2017 we are excited to unveil our travelling Lions Ambassadors for Australia shortly. They will be there in Australia and ready to share the joy of rugby touring with you! Joining them will be a variety of other familiar faces across the tour and events.

The British & Irish Lions Tour of Australia
Gullivers Sports Travel have been touring to Australia for many years for supporters trips to major events such as The Ashes, Summer Tours and of course for the Lions. This will be our third Lions trip to Australia.
Gullivers Sports Travel is fully ABTA bonded, and ATOL protected when flights are included. This offers you financial protection and means that you can relax and book your trip safe in the knowledge that your booking is fully protected with a reputable tour operator.
Make your own way to the airport, check in/drop your bags off and make your way through customs. Once through customs make your way to the gate to board your indirect flight to Australia.

Upon arrival into Adelaide, after clearing customs and immigration, your Tour Manager will meet you in the airport to transfer the group to your hotel to check in for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Small in size, but big in nature, the city of Adelaide is idyllically situated between some of the countries top wine regions and most beautiful beaches. The city offers some of Australia's best restaurants and boutique shops. The drive in from the airport is only a short one at approximately 15-20 minutes.
This evening the group will get together with the Tour Manager for Welcome Drinks. Get to know your tour group and tour manager, reminisce on past tours and trips and share the excitement of the magic of The British & Irish Lions Tour ahead.
Meet with your Tour Manager, Gullivers Lions Ambassador and the rest of your group and enjoy a drink together. It's a great chance to get to know each other and have a relaxed start to the tour.

Make sure to start your day by heading for the Adelaide Central Market, one of the largest undercover markets in the Southern Hemisphere which features more than 70 stalls of South Australia's freshest produce including fruit & veg, artisanal breads, cheese, meats, local seafood and plenty more. After the Market, you could head to North Terrace where many of Adelaide's main cultural institutions sit shoulder to shoulder.
In the evening, find yourself on Rundle Street, the classy side of the city, where there are plenty of excellent restaurants serving an array of cuisines that suit every budget.
Be a part of history today and witness The British & Irish Lions play against an Invitational AU & NZ side, the likes of which we haven't seen on a Lions tour since 1989. The Adelaide Oval is in a great location to walk to/from the stadium
Today we will leave Adelaide and fly across to Sydney, home to the famous Sydney Harbour and some of the most iconic sights in the World. Transfer with the group to the airport to check in for your flight. Upon arrival in Sydney transfer with the group to the city centre hotel where you can check in for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

There is always something special to be enjoyed in Sydney, whether that is an adventurous Sydney BridgeClimb or a gentle walk around the Botanical Gardens. We have always enjoyed taking the ferry across to Manly, enjoying some iconic views along the way.

The city will be awash with a sea of red & yellow shirts in anticipation of the 1st Test vs the Wallabies.
Today Gullivers Sports Travel host the first of our exclusive Gullivers Lions Clubhouse events. A firm favourite on previous Lions Tours, our events have included sit down Q&A's with former players, local rugby club events where we have immersed with the local rugby community and pub days with live music, food and drink. A great atmosphere with great camaraderie to build the excitement ahead of the first Test is the order of the day here.
