Your trip: 2025 Six Nations - France v Wales – Tour Manager

What was your favourite part of Paris? – My favourite part of Paris is the area alongside the river from the Jardin des Tuileries up to the Louvre. The gardens are a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city with lovely places to sit and enjoy the sunshine. You can also pop into the numerous souvenir shops along Rue de Rivoli, take in the Louvre’s impressive glass pyramids, or catch a bite to eat in one of the numerous cafes and brasseries.

What was your favourite part of the trip? – My favourite part of the trip was our visit to L’Emaillerie restaurant prior to the kick-off of the France v Wales fixture. This amazing French restaurant is situated about 10 minutes walk from the stadium gates and was the best French food I have ever eaten. The restaurant was full of French and Welsh fans, with an incredibly welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Every time the French saw a Welsh fan walk through the door they would start singing a song that ‘welcomed’ the Welsh to the Stade de France.

How was the Match? – As expected, the match was very one-sided. With all the hope the Welsh fans had going into the fixture, a glimmer of promise was granted as the boys in red held of the French for 18 minutes. However, once Theo Attissogbe went over the line for France the floodgates opened. The French side enjoyed their rugby at the Stade de France, swapping their forward pack after halftime and resting Dupont and Ramos for future fixtures.

What would you recommend doing in Paris? – Paris has everything you want in a city. Markets, bars, culture, music, and shopping. Head to the Montmartre area to visit the Moulin Rouge, the Paris Old Town just across the river from the Notre Dame is a perfect spot to enjoy proper French food and busy little streets. And of course you can’t miss a visit to the Eiffel Tower. You can meander down the river to this landmark and take in all its glory.
