Your trip: Ireland v England Tour

What was your favourite part of Dublin?

Dublin has so many cool spots, but one of my favourites has to be the Temple Bar area. It’s full of life with its cobbled streets, vibrant pubs, and live music everywhere. The atmosphere is just electric, and it really feels like the heart of Dublin’s social scene.

What was your favourite part of the trip?

A highlight of the trip had to be the Gulliver’s Clubhouse event on game day. Everyone was in great spirits, laughing, enjoying drinks, and soaking up the buzz before the match. Tom May, Chris Ashton, and Rob Henderson kept everyone hooked with some brilliant stories and insider insights, not just about the game but also about the upcoming Lions Tour this summer and the event really set the tone for an enjoyable day (despite the result for England fans)!

How was the Match?

This was my first trip to the Aviva Stadium, and it certainly lived up to expectations. The atmosphere was fantastic, and there was a real buzz when the anthems played and the fireworks went off! England started strong, with debutant Cadan Murley scoring his first try and going into the break with the lead. Ireland came out firing in the second half, scoring three tries to take control of the game. England responded with late tries from Tom Curry and Tommy Freeman, but ultimately Ireland were too strong and held on for a 27-22 win.

What would you recommend doing in Dublin?

Take a peaceful stroll through the courtyards and admire the elegant neoclassical architecture of Dublin’s Trinity College, one of the most iconic and historic university campuses in the world. Established in 1592, Trinity has been home to some renowned alumni, including Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett! Alternatively, you have to visit the home of Guinness and book a tour around the Guinness Storehouse which is a must do activity whilst in Dublin.
