Your trip: Wales v England 2026 Six Nations

What was your favourite part of Cardiff? 

Cardiff comes alive on a rugby weekend, so hard to pick a favourite part, the castle is always a highlight for me it looked amazing shining in the sun this past weekend!

What was your favourite part of the trip? 

Experiencing the vibrant atmosphere and anticipation on the Friday evening and Saturday morning before the game, the English fans were nervous, and the Welsh were hopeful for a big chance!

How was the match? 

The match was amazing. As a nervous English fan going into the game I was delighted with the massive performance and effort the team put in to beat the Welsh at home! On the walk up to the Principality stadium, it was a sunny crisp day with many Welsh voices in the air. The Welsh put on a pre-match spectacle; it was special hearing the Welsh fans sing along to the male voice choir, culminating in their national anthem sung with immense pride. The closed roof really added to the atmosphere. Kick off and two Welsh disallowed tries later, the voices were more English than Welsh. It was a dream game for England fans and a very disheartening one for the Welsh, a crushing defeat on home turf with a final try from England after the 80-minute mark just adding to the heartbreak. All in all, it was a great game under the roof in one of the best stadiums, an experience I will never forget!

What would you recommend doing in Cardiff?

I always love coming to Cardiff, it’s an amazing city with plenty to keep you occupied. From shopping at the St David's centre, walking along Cardiff bay and having a drink and bite to eat at any one of the many restaurants, bars and pubs in the city there is something for everyone!
