    Who are you/ your role:

    Your trip:

Belgian Grand Prix, 4 night tour in Brussels from 25th  - 29th July 2024

What was your favourite part of Brussels?

Brussels is a fantastic city with rich history, incredible architecture and of course lots of chocolate and beer! A highlight for me was sitting in a beautiful side street just off Le Grand Place enjoying a team dinner and soaking up the atmosphere.

What was your favourite part of the trip?

My favourite part of the trip was sitting in the sunshine in the Fan Zone at the circuit watching the drama of the race unfold with a great view of the cars climbing Eau Rouge.

    How was the Race?

The race was full of drama from start to finish. Verstappen had the fastest lap in qualifying but was subject to a 10-place grid penalty after exceeding his quota for engines this season. Once the race was underway Leclerc led from pole while Hamilton jumped from third into second overtaking Perez on the run into Eau Rouge. Behind that Norris was pushed wide and ended up on the gravel meaning he was passed by Piastri, Russel and Sainz.

Leclerc’s lead only lasted 2 laps until Hamilton closed in and took the lead while the battle behind continued. Verstappen was then the first to pit on lap 10 which started the chain of pit stops. At lap 25 the second round of pitting started, except for Russel who started his mission to finish the race with only one stop.

This initially seemed a great move with Russel finishing first, Hamilton second, and Piastri third! After the race, Russell’s car was weighed and found to be 1.5kg underweight and after a stewards referral, he was disqualified meaning Hamilton inherited the win, moving Piastri up to second and Leclerc third.

What would you recommend doing in city?

There are many great things to do in Brussels but a highlight of some of the clients were the museums located in the city. These range from fine art, a motor museum, and of course chocolate and beer museums and tours! The city is also great to explore to look at the incredible architecture that can be found at the Palace, Le Grand Place, and the Palace de Justice!
