Hi I’m Trist and I’m in the Sales Team at Gullivers Sports Travel.

Your trip:

My trip was the Barracuda Silver Tour to Barbados for the England white ball series against the West Indies. We watched the final ODI and the first 2 T20I at the Kensington Oval. We had 8 nights in the beautiful Barbados seeing sunsets and sea turtles whilst drinking a little rum punch!

What was your favourite part of the country?

My favourite part of the trip, excluding watching England Win.. was watching the sunrise on the Friday morning and horse riding along the beach with the Barbados racehorses.
A real ‘pinch me’ moment as we laughed and swam in the sea to start the day.

How were the cricket matches? 

The Final ODI that was played was a solid performance by the West Indies team who just out-classed England in all aspects of the game. This led to a couple of nerves before the start of the T20 series, which as it turned out, needn’t have been nervous for! England really pulled out a five-star performance with the T20s showing why they shouldn’t be written off.

What would you recommend doing at the destination?

I absolutely would recommend going on the Mount Gay Rum tour as this was exceptional. The knowledge of the tour guide was incredible with the enthusiasm of the history and how knowledge is passed from master distiller to the next apprentice. No recipes are written down, all techniques are learned which for a 300+ year old distillery is amazing!
