Hungarian Grand Prix Travel Review 2024

Your trip: Hungarian Grand Prix 2024

What was your favourite part of the city? My favourite part of the city was the beautiful architecture that you can find at every turn. Every building is more beautiful than the last, the parliament building being my standout favourite.

    How was the Race?

The race was full of controversy right up until the end, with McLaren ending with a 1-2 finish, but with one very unhappy driver in Lando Norris. It was Piastri’s first Formula 1 win but you could tell the team orders had taken some of the shine off it.

Lewis Hamilton finished the race with another podium, it will be interesting to see if he can keep this form up in the next race, and after the summer break, I’ve got my fingers crossed that he does.

The start of the day on Sunday was overcast and slightly cooler than the start of the week however when the race started to heat up so did the weather, with the sun coming out in full force in the afternoon. The circuit’s homemade lemonade was a winner when it came to keeping hydrated and cool.

What would you recommend doing in city? I would recommend visiting the Szechenyi Thermal Spa. Being one of Europe's largest thermal bath spas with 15 indoor bath and 3 outdoor baths, you can spend a whole day just relaxing and bathing around. You can book a full-day session at the Spa for roughly £26 pp and you can have full access to the spa with a lockable changing cubicle. There are also food and drinks available. If it wasn’t for the F1, I could have spent the whole weekend there!
