As anticipation builds at Gullivers for the British and Irish Lions Tour to South Africa in 2021, we take a look back at our proud history of being at the heart of the Lions travelling support. Our first Lions tour was to South Africa in 1980 following Bill Beaumont’s side as they enjoyed a clean sweep of all 14 of the non-international matches, while losing the four test series to the Boks 3-1.

Above is a telex(!) received from a customer, Mr Bob Handyside - a reminder of the history we have of providing great rugby tours, and great customer service since the day we began! Our telex machine may have been replaced by email, but the values Bob mentions in terms of our efficiency and having the Gullivers executive team on the ground for every Lions tour (and all of our other major events) is very much still the case.

The anticipated launch of our 2021 supporters tour will represent the 11th consecutive Gulliver’s supporters tour supporting the British & Irish Lions, a huge milestone of which we’re very proud. We have 40 years of experience in delivering authentic and unforgettable Lions tours.
