    Getting Around

    Singapore

The best way to get around in Singapore is by using either the bus, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) or Light Rail Transit (LRT). Its network is one of the most efficient in the world and a variety of travel options are available. These include Tourist Passes, which are available for a discounted price for up to three days.

One of these cards will also give visitors access to the EZ-Link bus network, which takes people to many of the city’s leading attractions.

    What to see

    Singapore

Deciding where to visit in Singapore can be a huge challenge. With so many amazing sights and sounds to discover, finding the time to do everything can be a big ask.

One of the first attractions visitors should explore is the Gardens by the Bay, which are full of stunning art, magnificent plant life and unforgettable architecture. The huge 101-hectare development opened in 2011 after a competition was held to decide what it would feature. Since then, its popularity has continued to grow as millions of tourists from across the globe visit every year to see one of the most impressive artistic achievements in the modern world.

After stopping off at the Gardens by the Bay, you can explore the rest of the Marina Bay, which is another shining example of Singapore’s beauty. Standing right next to the coast, there are glorious views of the city to be enjoyed, along with a wide selection of things to do, ranging from the fascinating ArtScience Museum to the Singapore Flyer Ferris Wheel.

Elsewhere, travellers can take advantage of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum, which is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in the world. As well as its compelling collection of relics, there is a selection of services scheduled daily, providing a fantastic insight into the religion’s practices.

    Where to eat and drink

    Singapore at night

Singapore has a thriving food scene with plenty of options no matter what your diet is. As well as highly-rated conventional eateries, it is home to quirky restaurants such as NOX, where customers eat their food in total darkness!

One of the top places to eat in Singapore is Rhubarb, where visitors can look forward to some of the tastiest and most artistic meals in the city. Many of the delicacies here are full of experimental flavours and the customer service is second to none.

For those who are really, really hungry, 10 at Claymore is a great recommendation. The buffet restaurant offers food from across the world and some mouth-watering desserts.

As well as its amazing food scene, Singapore is home to many extraordinary places to drink. The Loof Bar is a particularly popular choice, offering an excellent cocktail menu along with picturesque views of the city. For those wanting to get away from it all, Raffles Martini Bar is a top suggestion, with a varied selection of drinks and a perfect location right next to the magnificent Peach Gardens.
