Any overland touring while in Australia is included in your package, as are airport transfers for these. The stadium is accessible from our chosen hotel either on foot or via public transport systems.
Included in your package is the Official Pre-Match Function. This two-hour event will feature former cricketing greats and special guest appearances. Hear about famous Test battles and preview the 150th Anniversary Test Match. The venue is yet to be determined, but if required, a transfer will be provided after the event to the MCG.
To ensure you have the best possible experience on tour, you will have a dedicated Tour Manager escorting the combined Gullivers Sports Travel and Howzat Travel tour group in Australia - our Tour Managers are knowledgeable cricket fans, supported by an on-site operations team and UK based office team that has vast experience of working in Australia.

Upon arrival into Melbourne, after clearing customs and immigration, your Tour Manager will meet you in the airport to transfer the group to your hotel to check in for 7 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The Australian Mecca for all things trendy and tasty!
This evening the group will get together with the Tour Manager for Welcome Drinks. Get to know your tour group and tour manager, reminisce on past tours and trips and share the excitement of this landmark occasion!
Meet with your Tour Manager and the rest of the combined Gullivers Sports Travel and Howzat Travel group and enjoy a drink together. It's a great chance to get to know each other and have a relaxed start to the tour.
The perfect blend of rich cultural history and new-age trends, Melbourne is a place with something for everyone. Much of central Melbourne's gems are hidden off of the tram-graced thoroughfares in small lanes and arcades so make sure to visit Centre Place, a densely packed laneway of tiny cafe's, bars and Art Nouveau Street Lamps. This evening, we will have our group dinner with a special guest appearance.
Tonight enjoy our Group Dinner before the cricket starts tomorrow. A special guest will be in attendence to give us the inside scoop.
Make your own way from the hotel to 'The G' for the 150th Anniversary Test Match! This is a day/night Test Match - so the mornings are yours to spend at your leisure. Melbourne is famous for coffee so make the most of the ample coffee shops in the city! On the morning of day one, you are invited to the official Cricket Australia Pre-Match Function.
In Melbourne, trams are free within the CBD, with good public transport links to areas outside of this.
A 5 day ticket is included in your package. Days 1-4 in the category listed. Should the Test go to the fifth day, day 5 will be a General Admission ticket.

Check out of the hotel and transfer to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Sydney. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for a four night stay with breakfast.

Home to the iconic Harbour Bridge, Opera House and stunning coastlines, the city of Sydney is a destination that surely features on every adventurers bucket-list. With three full days at leisure there is plenty to be enjoyed in the city itself or if you are keen to get out on the water a ferry ride over to Manly offers some great views. Bondi Beach is a train or bus ride away and the wonderful Bondi to Coogee walk is worth the steps, equally a train ride takes you out to the Blue Mountains and some fantastic scenery.
Check out of your hotel this morning and transfer with the group to the airport to check in and clear security before boarding your indirect flight back home.
Upon arrival back into the UK, clear customs and make your own onward arrangements. We hope that you head home with some fantastic lasting memories and new friendships formed from a special trip to Australia.

Known affectionately by locals as 'The G', the Melbourne Cricket Ground is one of the most revered sporting venues of the world. In 1877, the first ever Test match took place here between Australia and England, ending in an Australian 45 run victory. 100 years on, in 1977, there was a centenary match where history repeated itself and the result was exactly the same!
