Gullivers Sports Travel have been touring to South Africa for many years for supporters trips to major events such as The Lions, Summer Tours and of course following the England Cricket Team. This red ball tour promises to be our biggest and best yet. We’ve perfected the art of creating unforgettable, well-organized experiences for sports fans. Whilst it will have been 7 years since travelling England fans have been in the crowd for a red ball series in South Africa, we have been touring the country more recently, with trips for the white ball series in 2023 and the Welsh Summer Tour a year before that. We’re ready to make this series one for the history books.

Day 1
Depart UK
Make your own way to the airport, check in/drop your bags off and make your way through customs. Once through customs make your way to the gate to board your flight to South Africa.

Day 2
Arrive South Africa
Upon arrival into Cape Town, after clearing customs and immigration, your Tour Manager will meet you in the airport to transfer the group to your hotel to check in for 9 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
Welcome Drinks
Meet with your Tour Manager and the rest of your group and enjoy a drink together. It's a great chance to get to know each other and have a relaxed start to the tour.

NYE
Cape Town is a fantastic place to experience NYE. You are free to make your own arrangements and see in the New Year however you wish. We will be putting on an event at an additional cost - more details to come soon!

Day 4-5
Days at Leisure
Two day's at leisure to settle into your new surroundings in Cape Town.
It's very easy to spend a lot of time at the V&A Waterfront, with lot's of food and shopping options and harbour views. Nearby, there are some fantastic winelands to experience, and a trip to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was held prisoner is eye-opening and a must-do.
We will have some optional excursions for these days too - coming soon!

Day 6-10
3rd Test - South Africa v England
One of our favourite test cricket grounds in the world!
After breakfast, join the group and your tour manager on the coach for the transfer to the stadium for the day's play. After play, the coach will bring you back to the hotel. The journey time is approximately 20/25 minutes each way depending on traffic.
In the evening, find yourself on at the V&A Waterfront for ample food options with harbour views.

Day 11-13
Stellenbosch
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and join the transfer as we head to Stellenbosch for a 3 night stay, on a bed and breakfast basis!
South Africa's second oldest town and most inspiring wine, food, art and cultural destination. Stellenbosch, just an hour's drive east of Cape Town, is particularly renowned for its viticulture where hundreds of world-class wine estates stretch across the town's outskirts. Throughout your stay, enjoy the finest food and wine experiences that have made Stellenbosch one of South Africa’s most celebrated culinary destinations
The town is also known for its beautifully preserved Cape Dutch architecture and oak-lined streets. A lovely wander through the historic centre reveals white gabled buildings, boutique galleries and charming courtyards that date back centuries. With mountains framing its background, Stellenbosch also has plenty of hiking opportunities and nature reserves with scenic trails, waterfalls and spectacular valley views for you to explore.

Depart South Africa
Check out of your hotel this morning and transfer with the group to the airport to check in and clear security before boarding your flight back home. Upon arrival back into the UK, clear customs and make your own onward arrangements. 3rd Test - South Africa v England

Another of our favourite test match cricket grounds, England fans will remember a fantastic test match win here at the start of 2020. Ben Stokes took the final three wickets (including two in an over) to force a result when a draw looked increasingly likely. Other notable contributions in that game include a Sir Jimmy Anderson fifer in South Africa's first innings, and an unbeaten Dom Sibley hundred in England's second. The ground is one of the most beautiful in the world, nestled at the foot of Table Mountain. It's one of the few grounds in South Africa conducive to spin bowling and it doesn't often end in a draw here.
