Flights
Flights from London Heathrow to Cape Town, Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg and Johannesburg to London Heathrow are included in your package. Business class flight upgrades are available for £2,300 per person (subject to availability at the time of booking). Please note if you choose to upgrade to business class, an additional £550 per person deposit is required at the time of booking. World Traveller Plus upgrades are available for £550 per person (subject to availibility at the time of booking). Please note if you choose to upgrade to World Traveller Plus, an additional £200 per person deposit is required at the time of booking.

Coach transfers to and from the airports and hotels are included in your package, also included are all excursion transfers and daily match transfers in Cape Town.

Day 1
Departure day
Make your own way to London Heathrow where you will meet your Gullivers tour manager and the rest of your group for your flight to Cape Town on British Airways.

Day 2
Arrive Cape Town
Arrive into Cape Town and after clearing customs and you will be met and transferred to the Westin Hotel, Cape Town where you will stay for nine nights on a bed & breakfast basis. It is unlikely that your rooms will be ready when you arrive so after storing your bags at reception head across to the waterfront area to explore the many bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and sightseeing opportunities that are on offer.

This evening get together with your tour manager and the rest of your group for welcome drinks in the hotel.

Day 3
New Years Eve
Day at leisure to explore Cape Town and prepare for this evening’s festivities.
Early evening you will be transferred out to the beautiful winelands region for New Years Eve at Simon’s on the Groot Constantia wine estate – South Africa’s oldest winery. See the New Year in South African style, before transferring back to the hotel.

Day 4
Cape Town
Day at leisure to take things easy or do some sightseeing. Perhaps take the cable car up to the top of Table Mountain for stunning views of the bay and beyond, visit Robben Island – where Nelson Mandela spent a large proportion of his time in prison or maybe take a Cape Peninsula Tour to see the point where the Indian & Atlantic oceans meet.

Day 5–9
2nd Test Match
Each morning transfer to the picturesque Newlands for all five days of the test match. On one evening during the test match you will be invited to join us & some well known cricketing faces at the Gullivers cricket forum.
Transfer back to the hotel after each day of play.
2nd Test Match, Cape Town
South Africa v England - As part of your ticket we have included entry into marquee hospitality for each day of the test. The Newlands Club marquee is air conditioned & located in the shade of the Newlands oak trees – a short walk from your seats. The hospitality includes a 2 course buffet lunch & morning and afternoon tea daily. Seating is informal and relaxed & is not reserved.

Day 10
Cape Town
Final day at leisure to make the most of Cape Town. Relax over a long lunch at one of the finest sea food restaurants or fine dining restaurants or take a trip out to the Stellenbosch region for beautiful views and a chance to visit some of South Africa’s finest wine estates.

Day 11
Garden Route
This morning check out of the hotel and depart on a trip along South Africa’s garden route, home to many farms providing some of the world’s best fruit from the many orchards that line the route. Known as one of the most spectacular drives along the South African coastline you will have plenty of opportunity to stop and enjoy the stunning views along the way.
On arrival into the coastal town of Knysna check in to the Knysna River Club situated on the edge of the Knysna lagoon for a two night stay on a bed & breakfast basis.
A chance to relax and explore this pretty seaside town & enjoy the sunshine before transferring to the John Benn for a sunset lagoon cruise. Enjoy a sundowner and dinner aboard while listening to stories of the legendary pilot of a by-gone shipping era on a relaxing and comfortable trip to the Knysna Heads.

Day 12
Knysna
Today venture inland to visit the Cango Caves near the village of Oudtshoorn followed by a trip to a local ostrich farm. A fascinating and entertaining visit where you have the opportunity to get up close and discover all sorts of facts about these comical creatures.

Day 13
Arrive at Kariega Game Reserve
Today check out of the hotel and transfer to the Kariega Game reserve for truly African safari experience. Boasting the Big five with a riverside location and accommodation in luxury lodges Kareiga offers a malaria free safari experience. Stay for two nights on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis & spend the rest of the day relaxing in these tranquil surroundings.
This evening enjoy sundowners and possibly an African BBQ under the stars!

Day 14
Safari
Depart on an early morning game drive before breakfast to see how many of the Big Five you can spot. After breakfast relax or depart on one of the various activities on offer such as a boat cruise down the Kariega River sighting abundant river birdlife, or take a kayak onto the river for a quiet paddle (at additional cost).
This evening depart on a second game drive before enjoying your end of tour dinner together back at the lodge.
