We'll be throwing a welcome drinks reception on the first evening of the tour so you can get to know the rest of your group and compare predictions for the days ahead.
Join your fellow cricket supporters for an informal gathering, along with an invited guest from the world of cricket to discuss the Sri Lanka v England ODI Series.
A range of fantastic excursions are included in your package, so you can get the most out of your Sri Lanka tour. These are a Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage visit, Dambulla cave temple, Sigiriya Rock Fortress trip, Galle city tour and Colombo city tour by coach, . There is also an optional excursion available to Yala National Park.

Enjoy an end of tour dinner with your new found cricket friends. The cost of your meal at the farewell dinner is included in the package.
Meet your dedicated Gullivers Tour Leader at London Heathrow and board your flight to Colombo.
Arrive in Colombo and transfer to the Kingsbury Hotel for your two night stay.
This evening get to know your tour group at the Welcome Drinks with your Tour Leader.
Two nights
Return transfer to the R.Premadasa Stadium for the 1st One Day International v Sri Lanka (D/N). Journey time is approximately 15 minutes.
The next two days encompass some long coach journeys, but due to the nature of the country, is it quite the norm in Sri Lanka. Due to the venues chosen for the first four ODIs, it is one of the few opportunities to visit some of the most famous attractions the country has to offer. Comfort and lunch stops (additional cost) will be organised as you pass through many of the towns and villages along the way, so sit back and enjoy the scenery!
Depart Colombo and head inland by coach to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants. It is notable for having the largest herd of elephants in the world. Journey time is approximately three hours.
Afterwards travel north to Dambulla which is a journey of approximately 1.5 hours and visit Dambulla Cave Temple which is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.
Last journey of the day takes you to your hotel the Heritance Kandalama for an overnight stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Journey time is approximately 30 minutes from Dambulla.
Spend the evening relaxing in the hotel bar and restaurant after a long day of sightseeing.
1 night
An early start this morning to avoid the high temperatures and head to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also known as ‘Lion Rock’, you can take the climb to the top (200 metres high) to see the ancient ruins of King Kasyapa’s palace and the wonderful views. Journey time is approximately 30 minutes. Return to the hotel for a late breakfast before re-boarding the coach and travelling back to the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo for a two night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Journey time is approximately 4.5 hours.
Transfer to the R.Premadasa Stadium for the 2nd One Day International v Sri Lanka (D). Journey time is approximately 15 minutes.
Depart Colombo by coach and travel down to Dikwella on the south coast. En-route there will be a lunch stop (additional cost) in the fortified city of Galle and there will be the opportunity for a guided tour of the city. Journey time to Galle is approximately two and a half hours.
Afterwards continue to Dikwella Resort for your four night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Journey time from Galle is approximately one hour. You will be accompanied by your local guide as the Gullivers Tour Manager will travel onwards with the Opener Tour 1 group to their hotel.
Four nights
Day at leisure and the opportunity to relax after yesterday's travelling. Perhaps take a stroll along the beach, enjoy a cocktail by the pool or treat yourself to a massage at the hotel spa.
Another day at leisure or there is the option to take a day trip to Yala National Park (additional cost), where you will enjoy a safari at Sri Lanka's most visited wildlife reserve. Journey time from the hotel to the park is approximately 2 hours.
Transfer to the Mahinda Rajapakse International Stadium near Hambantota for the 3rd One Day International v Sri Lanka (D/N). Journey time is approximately one and a half hours.

Depart Dikwella by coach and head back north to Colombo and the Kingsbury Hotel for a three night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Journey time is approximately 3 hours.
After the journey you may fancy some fresh, sea air so you could take a walk along the Galle Face Green esplanade. You could then perhaps jump in a tuk-tuk and go for dinner at the Cricket Club Café, a themed restaurant and bar where every space is decorated with cricket memorabilia. Sri Lankan and Western food is served and the cafe also screens non-stop cricket classics and current sporting events.
Three nights
At leisure in Colombo. Perhaps spend some time relaxing by the hotel pool before taking a tour of the city by coach which is included in your package.
This evening you are invited to the Gullivers Cricket Forum. Join an invited guest from the world of cricket for a social gathering and an informal chat on this current ODI series
Return transfer to R.Premadasa Stadium for the 4th One Day International v Sri Lanka (D). Journey time is approximately 15 minutes.
This evening say a fond farewell to your fellow travellers and the end of the tour with a final dinner organised by your Tour Manager.
