Full itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrivals Day

Make your own way to Nice Cote d’Azur International Airport (NCE).

A group transfer will take you from the airport to the hotel and is scheduled to meet the following flight:
British Airways | Departing London Gatwick (LGW) 07:40 – Arriving Nice (NCE) 10:40 (local time)

You are welcome to join this transfer if you arrive on an alternative flight, but we cannot hold the scheduled transfer for you. If you have a flight arriving at a time that doesn’t coincide with these flight times, we can arrange a private airport transfer on request and at an additional cost.

Check-in at the hotel is available from 3pm. An earlier check-in may be available if the rooms are ready, but this can’t be guaranteed. If you arrive before your room is ready, there will be left luggage and changing facilities at the hotel available for you.

For those who arrive in time, you can join an optional guided ride as a warm-up and help find your place in the groups before the longer rides the following day. Alternatively, take a map or upload a GPS file (.gpx) for some recommended self-guided rides from the hotel.

From approximately 6pm, meet the rest of the group, ride leaders and event staff for a welcome drink and your camp briefing.

Dinner will be served in the hotel from 8pm.

  • Day 2

    Mountain Day

Enjoy a specialist riders’ breakfast in the hotel (or opt for any of the food available from the hot and cold buffet). The bike workshop will be available before the ride for anyone needing last minute adjustments.

After the riders briefing, your guides will split riders into groups before morning rides depart from the hotel.

Today is our hardest ride. We shall head inland from the coast and take in a number of climbs that Team Sky use in training, namely Col de Castillon, Col du Turini (featured in the Monte Carlo Rally) and Col de Braus. There will easier and shorter rides on offer.

All rides will finish at the hotel and there will be time to relax and recover. If you have booked a massage, it will take place at the hotel between 4-6pm.

Before dinner in the hotel, join the group for a session hosted by Team Sky and your guides, with riding insights, entertainment and presentations. More details to be confirmed closer to the event.

  • Day 3

    Italy, San Remo and Poggio

Follows the same format as Day Two with today’s route featuring the iconic Col de la Madone. At almost 1000m, the Madone is often the point of reference for visiting cyclists and today is your chance to tackle one of the country's most recognised and celebrated climbs.

Today we shall cross the border into Italy and take in the famous climb of the Poggio that features in the Milan San Remo classic. Again, there will be easier and shorter rides on offer if desired.

Return back to the hotel in the afternoon to recover (with a massage if you have one booked) and enjoy another evening session by Team Sky before dinner.

Return back to the Hotel in the afternoon to recover and enjoy another evening session by Team Sky. Dinner will follow and will be at a different local restaurant in Menton.

  • Day 4

    Monaco and Col de Madone

We have a warm-up ride to the Principality of Monaco and return to Menton before we climb the famous Col de Madone, used by Team Sky in training.

  • Day 5

    Departure Day

There will be a short morning ride before we return for a late morning checkout and depart from the hotel on a group transfer to Nice Airport.

    Depart hotel: 2:30pm
Arrive Nice Airport (NCE): Approx. 3:15pm

Please book your return flight with this transfer in mind, scheduled to arrive in time for the following flight:
British Airways | Departing Nice (NCE) 17:20 – Arriving London Gatwick (LGW) 18:15 (local time)

If you are departing at an alternative time, we can arrange a private airport transfer on request and at an additional cost.
