England have named three uncapped players for the upcoming Autumn Internationals.

Head coach Stuart Lancaster has called up Bath winger Semesa Rokoduguni, Northampton flanker Calum Clark and Saracens second row George Kruis for the matches against New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa and Australia. While Clark has appeared in previous England squads both Rokoduguni and Kruis have never played a part in the national squad.

The uncapped trio come in for Saracens winger Chris Ashton and Sale fly-half Danny Cipriani who have both been left out of the squad. Leicester's Manu Tuilagi was ruled out earlier in the week after the inside centre, capped 25 times by England, suffered a recurrence of a groin injury during the Tigers' European Rugby Champions Cup victory over Ulster.

Lancaster admitted his disappointment to be losing Tuilagi but added that he was confident that Bath's Jonathan Joseph could fill the void. England are expected to add more names to the 33-man squad over the weekend as the head coach continues to monitor players taking part in the upcoming European games.

It is another full weekend of European Cup rugby with Wasps taking on Harlequins while Sale will face Clermont. Lancaster will be hoping that his players come through the next round of games unscathed and fresh for the tough tests against some of the very best in international rugby.

Lancaster said: "We have included Jonathan Joseph as an injury replacement for Manu. It is obviously disappointing to lose Manu but JJ has been in great form and deserves this chance.

"Our medics will continue to work closely with Leicester's and ensure that Manu is supported in his rehabilitation from his injury."

The England head coach confirmed that Chris Robshaw will remain captain for the upcoming matches. The Harlequins flanker has led out his country in 27 of the last 30 matches and Lancaster believes that England are now well placed to build a "team of leaders" that can take the nation forward.

Alongside the injury to Tuilagi, England will be without the likes of Alex Corbisiero, Dan Cole, Tom Croft, Tom Johnson, Geoff Parling, Chris Pennell, Ed Slater, Mako Vunipola and Tom Youngs who have all been ruled out through injury.

England kick off the autumn internationals on November 8th at Twickenham against New Zealand. They will follow this up with the tests against South Africa (15th), Samoa (22nd) and Australia (29th).
