Our clients arrived at London St Pancras on a sunny Friday morning brimming with excitement - it had been 28 years since the French Grand Prix was last held at Circuit Paul Ricard, so anticipation was high!

The Eurostar service to Marseille was excellent and we were lucky to take in an array of beautiful scenery as we travelled through France. Clients were split across 3 hotels, the Golden Tulip, The Holiday Inn St Charles in Marseille and The Best Western La Galice in Aix-en-Provence. After everyone had a brief chance to explore their respective city’s, they were then invited to our welcome drinks event. This gave a great opportunity for everyone to meet each other and discuss predictions for the weekend ahead.

Saturday saw clients arrive for support races and they were able to see an intriguing qualifying session with Hamilton taking pole for Sunday’s race.

Sunday's race started frantically and saw Vettel collide with Hamilton’s teammate Bottas, earning Vettel a five-second penalty. This proved to be costly for Vettel, who was one point ahead of Hamilton before the race, and not the first mistake he has made this year that has lost him ground in the championship. The final result saw Hamilton 1st, Max Verstappen in 2nd and Kimi Raikkonen pipping Daniel Ricciardo into 3rd.

This now begins a very busy few weeks with the Austrian GP this weekend followed by the British GP. I’m sure there will be many more twists and turns to come in this thrilling Championship.
