The 2025/26 NRMA Insurance Ashes Series marks Gullivers' 11th tour Down Under, and promises to be our biggest and best yet. Since our first Ashes tour in 1982, we’ve perfected the art of creating unforgettable, well-organized experiences for sports fans. Whilst it will have been 8 years since travelling fans have been in the crowd since the last Australian Ashes we have been touring Australia more recently, with trips to the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup and the upcoming British & Irish Lions Tour in 2025.   • Day 1

    Arrive Australia

    Make your own way to Perth, where you can check-in to your hotel for 9 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. The beautiful city of Perth is truly the definition of 'the best of both worlds' where soft-sandy beaches and scenic parks meet a thriving metropolis of independent bars and creative restaurants. The drive in from the airport is only a short one at approximately 25-30 minutes. 

    This evening the group will get together with the Tour Manager for Welcome Drinks. Get to know your tour group and tour manager, reminisce on past tours and trips and share the excitement of The Ashes!

    Meet with your Tour Manager and the rest of your group and enjoy a drink together. It's a great chance to get to know each other and have a relaxed start to the tour.

  • Day 2

    Day at Leisure

    Enjoy exploring the capital of Western Australia where the Swan River meets the southwest coast. With Perth offering a picturesque coastline and so much variety, you'll be spoilt for choice of what to do!

    Tonight enjoy the Gullivers Cricket Evening as we get together with friends from the cricketing world to hear the inside track on the England team, the series, and the game in general.

  • Day 3-7

    1st NRMA Insurance Ashes Test

    The 1st NRMA Insurance Ashes Test is finally here! Make your own leisurely way to the Perth Stadium for the cricket either alongside the Swan River or through Perth centre before returning back at the close of play. Alternatively, Perth has a great public transport system for you to make the most of, which is free on matchdays with a match ticket. 

    This will be the first ever Ashes Test Match at the new stadium in Perth!

    A 5 day ticket is included in your package. Days 1-4 in the category listed. Should the Test go to the fifth day, day 5 will be a General Admission ticket.

    Days at Leisure

    Enjoy 2 day's at leisure in the beautiful city of Perth. 

    These days lend themselves perfectly to catching up on some well-earned rest! Find a spot on one of the serene white-sand beaches and soak up the sun with a good book in hand, our favourite is Cottesloe which can be reached easily by train. Alternatively, why not hop on a ferry across to the famous Rottnest Island to catch a picture of one of the 10,000 cute Quokka's living on the island or head inland to Swan Valley, one of Australia's most renowned wine regions. An evening in Fremantle with some famous fish and chips and a drink at the wonderful Little Creatures brewery is also recommended.

     

  • Day 10

    Perth to Cairns

    Check out of your hotel this morning and transfer with the group to the airport for your flight to Cairns for a few days in tropical Queensland. This is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and a great opportunity to change pace before the 2nd Test. Upon arrival, transfer with the group to your hotel for a 4 night stay on a bed and breakfast basis.

    In Cairns you will be able to connect with nature in a place unlike anywhere. The tropical north-west of Australia is home to 2 natural wonders, the Great Reef & Daintree Rainforest, allowing the adventurer in you to become immersed in wild Australia.

    Day at Leisure

    Today you have a day at leisure in Brisbane. Why not take a ferry over to Moreton Island where you have an array of experiences available to you, including whale watching, kayaking and snorkelling. 

    This evening, head to Howard Smith Wharves, Brisbane’s vibrant dining and lifestyle precinct, which is just a-10 minute walk from Brisbane's CBD. This once-neglected piece of land has been transformed and is now a bustling pedestrian boardwalk lined with restaurants, bars, hotels, and event spaces.

  • Day 16-20

    NRMA Insurance Ashes Day/Night Test

    The 2nd NRMA Insurance Ashes Test is a day/night match, so enjoy a leisurely morning before making your own way to The Gabba via the City Botanic Gardens and the Brisbane River. Alternatively, public transport is free on matchdays with a match ticket and is designed to get you to and from the stadium with ease.

    Traditionally, The Gabba hosts the first Test of the Australian summer, so hopefully a change in schedule will equate to a change in England's horror record in Brisbane.

    Enjoy two days in the capital of Queensland, Brisbane.

    Living up to its sunny potential, Brisbane has a strong focus on the outdoors; al fresco dining, picnics by the river, nearby coastal islands and national parks are just a few examples of what you could do with a day here. For a unique dining experience, head down to Howard Smith Wharves located beneath Story Bridge for the best of Brisbane's riverside drinks and dining. 

  • Day 23

    Brisbane to Tasmania

    Check out of your hotel this morning and transfer with the group to the airport for your flight to Hobart. Upon arrival into Tasmania, transfer with the group to your hotel for a 4 night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. 

    Hobart is the second oldest city in Australia, situated at the foothills of Mount Wellington with the Derwent River flowing past into the Tasman Sea. The city is steeped in a rich and colourful history, and it's a great place to spend a few nights in between the cricket.

    Enjoy a weekend at leisure in Tasmania.

    We recommend a visit to Mona - a world-renowned art collection that doesn't take itself too seriously, and serves some great food. On the east coast, Wineglass Bay is a must-visit photogenic spot, and Port Arthur Historic Site is an amazing place to gain a better appreciation of Australian history in this pivotal destination.

  • Day 27

    Tasmania to Adelaide

    Today we will leave Hobart and head back to the mainland for the 3rd Test. Transfer with the group to the airport to check in for your flight. Upon arrival in Adelaide transfer with the group to the hotel where you can check in for 8 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. 

    Small in size, but big in nature, the city of Adelaide is idyllically situated between some of the countries top wine regions and most beautiful beaches. The city offers some of Australia's best restaurants and boutique shops.

    Day at Leisure

    Enjoy a day at leisure in Adelaide. 

    Make sure to start your day by heading for the Adelaide Central Market, one of the largest undercover markets in the Southern Hemisphere which features more than 70 stalls of South Australia's freshest produce including fruit & veg, artisanal breads, cheese, meats, local seafood and plenty more. After the Market, you could head to North Terrace where many of Adelaide's main cultural institutions sit shoulder to shoulder.

    In the evening, find yourself on Rundle Street, the classy side of the city, where there are plenty of excellent restaurants serving an array of cuisines that suit every budget.

    3rd NRMA Insurance Ashes Test

    With the hotel being a short walk from the ground make your own way across to The Adelaide Oval for the 3rd NRMA Insurance Ashes Test. The tram in Adelaide is free, so whilst walking to the ground is easy, there is the added option of utilising that.

    This is one of our favourite cricket grounds in the world!

    Today would be the perfect chance for you to venture out to The Barossa Valley or McClaren Vale to try the local delights. The Barossa Valley is one of Australia's most famed and premier wine regions with over 50 wineries from which you could taste what the area has to offer! If you'd prefer some sea air, Glenelg is worth a visit.

    Adelaide to Melbourne

    This morning, check out of your Adelaide hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Melbourne. Upon arrival head to to your hotel with the group to check in for 8 nights on a bed and breakfast basis.

    Christmas at the MCG

    Enjoy a day at leisure in Melbourne on Christmas Eve. The perfect blend of rich cultural history and new-age trends, Melbourne is a place with something for everyone. Much of central Melbourne's gems are hidden off of the tram-graced thoroughfares in small lanes and arcades so make sure to visit Centre Place, a densely packed laneway of tiny cafe's, bars and Art Nouveau Street Lamps. 

    Join your fellow Gullivers clients for Christmas Day at the MCG. Where better to enjoy Christmas lunch on the eve of the Melbourne Test? All our escorted tour travellers come together for a festive yet informal celebration in a prime location overlooking the ground. Return transfers will be included. Indulge in a delicious three-course lunch with open bar (beer, wine and soft drinks) and live entertainment. Entrance to the National Sports Museum prior to seating and a welcome drink is also included. For cricket fans, being here on Boxing Day is the only place to be!

    Home to the iconic Harbour Bridge, Opera House and stunning coastlines, the city of Sydney is a destination that surely features on every adventurers bucket-list. With three full days at leisure there is plenty to be enjoyed in the city itself or if you are keen to get out on the water a ferry ride over to Manly offers some great views. Bondi Beach is a train or bus ride away and the wonderful Bondi to Coogee walk is worth the steps, equally a train ride takes you out to the Blue Mountains and some fantastic scenery.

    NRMA Insurance Sydney Ashes Test

    NRMA Insurance Sydney Ashes Test is the final of the series! In Sydney, it's easy access to the SCG using the new city tramway, walking, or bus. The tramway or bus is also free with your match ticket.

    The Sydney Cricket Ground is one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious sporting stadiums.

NRMA Insurance Ashes Perth Test

The Perth Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in the suburb of Burswood. Completed in late 2017, the venue is incredibly modern and primarily plays host to Australian rules football alongside cricket. This will be England's first Test match here, and it will certainly be a tough start - Australia have a very strong record in Test matches here, since it replaced the famous WACA. Stokes and McCullum will be desperate to get off to a strong start in Perth after England's slow start in the last home Ashes series proved decisive.

NRMA Insurance Ashes Day/Night Test

A favourite ground of the late Shane Warne, The Gabba, or 'The Gabbatoir,' has not been a happy hunting ground for England. Just the two Test win's have come England's way since the Second World War. Usually the first Test of the Australian summer, perhaps the change in the traditional schedule will coincide with a change in England's fortunes as they look to right the wrong's of Rory Burns' leg stump.
