There is no better way to experience Lake Como than by taking a boat trip and seeing the beautiful landscape that encompasses the lake. Como Cathedral is also a popular choice among visitors due to the Gothic architecture and historical importance to the city.

Make the most of your remaining time in Como before heading to your next destination tomorrow. If you haven't already ventured up the hill in the cable car that is something not to be missed with great views of Como from the top as well as exploring the beautiful old town.
Join your train transfer to Lugano!
It's a short scenic journey across the Italian/ Swiss border to Lugano, passing multiple lakes and entering the foothills of the Swiss Alps.
Once you arrive, settle in for a 3 night stay and spend the rest of the day at leisure. The Lugano Christmas Markets are supposed to be one of the most beautiful in Switzerland so why not a short wander into the city centre.

Whether you choose to stroll along the lakeside promenade, explore the charming old town or take a funicular into the surrounding mountains, Lugano is the perfect place to unwind and soak up the scenery. For some afternoon fun, head over to Monte Brè Funicular and ascend the "sunniest mountain in Switzerland". Travelling a total distance of 1,599 meters, once you reach the top you have a number of available activities such as hiking, mountain biking, walking tours immersed in nature or discovering the characteristic artistic legacy around the small village of Brè.
If you're looking for a leisurely activity, the Olive Grove Trail is an excellent choice. This panoramic lakeside walk which is no further than 3.5 kilometers runs between Castagnola and Gandria, a car-free village.
We recommend popping into the city centre in the evening where Lugano hold over 60 traditional Christmas chalets as well an ice rink and light display in the nearby Parco Ciani. There's a good handful of bars in the centre also!
Head to the station after breakfast to catch a train to Milan. The journey should take roughly an hour and a half.
Make your way to the hotel and check in for your 3 night stay. Your hotel is just a direct metro journey into the city centre, making it the perfect base to explore the historic buildings, beautiful architecture, shops, culinary scene and vibrant nightlife that Milan has to offer.

Visit the city's most important landmark, Duomo di Milano, the Gothic Cathedral, where you can see the stunning architecture inside the church, as well as the mesmerising skyline of Milan from on top of the roof. Alternatively, QC Termemilano is a spa built inside a former tram depot that houses warm baths, cold baths, geyser pools, a Jacuzzi waterfall and more; all surrounded by Roman ruins.
Why not take the opportunity to stroll to Giardini Intro Montanelli or Duomo di Milano for some sightseeing before the match?
Be sure to make the most of the match build up in the busy streets of bars and restaurants en route to the stadium.
If you're heading straight from the hotel to the San Siro, the best way to get to the stadium is to use the tram from the the nearest tram spot at the end of the road. It should take about 40 minutes from here, or 30 minutes on the tram if you're already in the city centre.
Make the most of your remaining time in Milan before returning to the airport for your flight home. Maybe squeeze in a moment to pick up some souvenirs or a final Italian pizza or gelato.
