The 2025/26 NRMA Insurance Ashes Series marks Gullivers' 11th tour Down Under, and promises to be our biggest and best yet. Since our first Ashes tour in 1982, we’ve perfected the art of creating unforgettable, well-organized experiences for sports fans. Whilst it will have been 8 years since travelling fans have been in the crowd since the last Australian Ashes we have been touring Australia more recently, with trips to the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup and the upcoming British & Irish Lions Tour in 2025. Upon arrival into Adelaide, after clearing customs and immigration, your Tour Manager will meet you in the airport to transfer the group to your hotel to check in for 8 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Small in size, but big in nature, the city of Adelaide is idyllically situated between some of the countries top wine regions and most beautiful beaches. The city offers some of Australia's best restaurants and boutique shops.
This evening the group will get together with the Tour Manager for Welcome Drinks. Get to know your tour group and tour manager, reminisce on past tours and trips and share the excitement of The Ashes!
Meet with your Tour Manager and the rest of your group and enjoy a drink together. It's a great chance to get to know each other and have a relaxed start to the tour.

Make sure to start your day by heading for the Adelaide Central Market, one of the largest undercover markets in the Southern Hemisphere which features more than 70 stalls of South Australia's freshest produce including fruit & veg, artisanal breads, cheese, meats, local seafood and plenty more. After the Market, you could head to North Terrace where many of Adelaide's main cultural institutions sit shoulder to shoulder.
In the evening, find yourself on Rundle Street, the classy side of the city, where there are plenty of excellent restaurants serving an array of cuisines that suit every budget.
Tonight enjoy the Gullivers Cricket Evening as we get together with friends from the cricketing world to hear the inside track on the England team, the series, and the game in general.
With the hotel being a short walk from the ground make your own way across to The Adelaide Oval for the 3rd NRMA Insurance Ashes Test. The tram in Adelaide is free, so whilst walking to the ground is easy, there is the added option of utilising that.

See in the New Year in Melbourne! You are free to make your own arrangements today - the waterfront is a great choice to watch the fireworks and see the Melbourne skyline. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere, down by the pier at St Kilda would be a good option. Enjoy a fish and chips on the beach whilst listening to the gentle lapping of the waves - sounds like a great New Year's Eve to us!

In 2014, huge renovation works to the Adelaide Oval were completed, transforming it into one of the most advanced, state-of-the-art outdoor sports venues in Australia while retaining it's picturesque setting and reputation as one of cricket's most beautiful grounds. Gullivers tourists from 2010 will remember Kevin Pietersen's magnificent double hundred here.

There are few cricketing experiences like being in the MCG on Boxing Day. A sell-out crowd is guaranteed to be there supporting the two teams and the atmosphere has to be seen to be believed. Known affectionately by locals as 'The G', the Melbourne Cricket Ground is one of the most revered sporting venues of the world. One of our best Ashes memories is Tremlett and Anderson tearing through the Aussies on Boxing Day, 2010.
Overlooking Victoria Square, the upscale Hilton places you in the heart of Adelaide's entertainment and shopping district. Experience the highlights of South Australia’s famous Kangaroo Island.
The tour starts with a convenient pick-up location tbc, where the coach will pick you up to transfer to Cape Jervis for the ferry across to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Visit the Seal Bay Conservation Park and take a guided walk on the beach to witness the rare and wild Australian sea lions up close. The experienced guides lead visitors right into the heart of the colony. This intimate experience educates guests on the sea lions' habitat, behavior, and the conservation challenges they face. Our first stop is the De Bortoli Vineyard at Dixons Creek for a pairing of selected wines and cheeses at the Valley’s largest producer. Our next stop is Yering Station, site of Victoria’s first vineyard in 1838. Here we’ll enjoy a wine tasting of their estate wines in the original winery featuring local artwork. After the tasting it’s time for a two course lunch in their stunning restaurant. With its world class views, you’ll have an a la carte selection from which to select your meal and glass of wine. After lunch it’s on to Payten & Jones Winery and Medhurst Vineyard for further tastings. This region is famed for its chardonnay and pinot noir varieties so be sure to try these local favourites. The self-titled ‘Old School’ vineyard still operates mostly by hand, using traditional methods from hand bottling and labelling, to foot-stomping the grapes. Morgans distillery is one of only two whey spirit producers in Australia, a method world-renowned for producing incredible smooth spirit. For those gin-lovers amongst us there’s time for a tasting here in the private gin bar.

Join us for a full day of fine wine and gourmet food in the stunning Yarra Valley. The Yarra Valley is famous for having some of the best vineyards in the world.
The morning starts with pick up from your hotel and an introduction to your friendly guide who will be the master of proceedings for today. Our first stop is the De Bortoli Vineyard at Dixons Creek for a pairing of selected wines and cheeses at the Valley’s largest producer. Our next stop is Yering Station, site of Victoria’s first vineyard in 1838. Here we’ll enjoy a wine tasting of their estate wines in the original winery featuring local artwork. After the tasting it’s time for a two course lunch in their stunning restaurant. With its world class views, you’ll have an a la carte selection from which to select your meal and glass of wine. After lunch it’s on to Payten & Jones Winery and Medhurst Vineyard for further tastings. This region is famed for its chardonnay and pinot noir varieties so be sure to try these local favourites. At the end of your Yarra Valley wine and food tour, transfer back to your hotel.
