Depart Melbourne this morning and travel to the north-east through the leafy suburbs of Templestowe, Eltham, and Kangaroo Ground to the De Bortoli Vineyard at Dixons Creek. You’ll enjoy a pairing of selected wines and cheeses at the Valley’s largest producer. It’s then on to Yering Station, the site of the Valley’s first vineyard, established in 1838. Taste estate wines in the historic winery before sitting down to a delicious main course lunch with a glass of wine in the estate restaurant.

After pickup from your central Melbourne accommodation, set off on a full-day journey along the spectacular Great Ocean Road. Begin at Torquay Beach with complimentary morning tea, then stop for photos at the famous Great Ocean Road sign.
Spot koalas and parrots in their natural habitat before arriving in Apollo Bay, where you’ll have time to explore or enjoy lunch (own expense). Continue inland for a guided forest walk among towering trees, then return to the coast to descend the Gibson Steps for a beach-level view of the Twelve Apostles.
Take in the dramatic scenery from the main Twelve Apostles lookout and visit Loch Ard Gorge to explore its striking coastline and rock formations.
