The package prices include a Category D ticket to the four knock out matches, including the finals. Exact locations of the tickets will be provided to us closer to the event. Upgrades to Category B tickets are available, see the ticket page for more details.

We will be using a number of reputable airlines within our packages. An economy seat is included in your package as standard. Upgrade your seat to Business Class for £3,300. Emirates are the Preferred Airline of Rugby World Cup 2019™.
Our featured accommodations are all 4★. Hotels have a very limited supply of traditional double-bedded rooms and the cultural norm is for couples to have two separate single beds, rather than share a double bed. As such we are offering three options: twin rooms, single rooms and twin rooms with a preference for a double room.

Airport and match transfers will be by coach. Likewise, we will transfer you to the relevant train stations when we use the bullet trains to get around the country. Bullet trains are a fast and efficient mode of getting around Japan, and part of the cultural experience to enjoy whilst in Japan.
To ensure you enjoy your visit to Japan to its fullest we are offering a variety of optional excursions. We are launching our packages with the introductory tours that we feel will enhance your experience in Japan. We will be launching a second round of more optional extras later in the year.

We work closely with our agents in Japan to ensure that we have Japanese speaking staff on site to assist us. As always with an escorted tour, you will have a Gullivers Tour Manager with you.

Upon arrival into Japan, we will transfer you to your hotel in Tokyo Metropolitan for you to check in for your four night stay.
After settling into your hotel join your Tour Manager for welcome drinks this evening and get to know your fellow tourists.
Welcome to Tokyo Metropolitan! The capital city and one of the most exciting cities in the world. Tokyo means ‘Eastern Capital’ and is made up of a patchwork of over 1000 neighbourhoods which conjoin together to create a mega metropolis. Each district has developed it’s own personality over the years which helps to refine where you choose to explore during your stay here. The Shibuya District is on most tourists must-see lists, featuring the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world with enough people crossing at rush hour to fill a rugby stadium. As is Asakusa on the north-east fringe of Tokyo Metropolitan, which pays homage to the areas cultural history thanks to it’s preservation of ancient buildings and artisan traditions. The list goes on and there are more including Ginza – noted for it’s luxury shopping, Shinjuku – noted for its entertainment and Roppongi – legendary for its nightlife. The patchwork that is Tokyo Metropolitan is endless, so you’ll need to find out for yourself!
This evening, action begins with the first quarter-final, as the winner of pool B takes on the runner up of pool A at Tokyo Stadium. We will transfer you out the the stadium from your hotel and return you to your hotel when the match finishes. Once at the stadium, soak up the unique atmosphere that comes with a Rugby World Cup quarter-final and settle in as the teams prepare to battle for a place in the semi-final.

This evening, action continues with the third quarter-final, as the winner of pool A takes on the runner up of pool B at Tokyo Stadium. We will transfer you out the the stadium from your hotel and return you to your hotel when the match finishes.

Today we take the Bullet train to Kyoto for a four night stay to immerse ourselves in this fascinating city, which has one of the worlds largest collections of UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Kyoto, meaning capital city, reflecting on its 1000 year history as the imperial city of Japan, is located on the central part of the island of Honshu. It’s significance in Japanese history resounds throughout the city. It was saved from bombing in World War II and as a result has many historical buildings in tact which attract thousands of tourists year on year. There are many ancient temples, tea ceremony masters, traditional ryokan inns, flower arranging, zen rock gardens and mysterious Geisha…all of which make Kyoto a truly mesmerising place to visit. You have the option to book onto our guided tour of Kyoto, a perfect way to familiarise yourself with this beguiling city.
There is also the option to book onto our guided day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima, one of the iconic sights of Japan.

Today we return to Tokyo Metropolitan for a nine night stay. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, the New Otani, almost a city within itself, with over 30 places to eat. The hotel is also well known for its historic garden, dating back to the 16th century, a quintessentially Japanese hotel, blending modern convenience with historic charm. This evening we will be hosting a Gullivers Exclusive event, where our knowledgeable speakers will be sure to have opinions on the matches to come.
This evening the penultimate stage of the competition begins with the first semi-final, as the winner of quarter-final one takes on the winner of quarter-final two at International Stadium Yokohama. We will transfer you out the the stadium from your hotel and return you to your hotel when the match finishes.

This evening the semi-finals continue as the winner of quarter-final three takes on the winner of quarter-final four at International Stadium Yokohama. We will transfer you to the the stadium from your hotel and return you to your hotel when the match finishes.

Enjoy a respite from the tensions of the semi-finals with four days at leisure in Tokyo Metropolitan City. Perhaps now is the time to explore and book onto our optional guided city tour of some of the most famous sites of Japan. If you have not yet caught Mount Fuji in it's winter glory, and need a day out of the city, book onto our day trip to Hakone, with unrivalled views of Mount Fuji. On one of your last days your Tour Manager will arrange an end of tour dinner where you can recap on your adventures with your fellow tourists.

The day we have all been waiting for as tension builds for the final match. The winner of Rugby World Cup 2019™ will be crowned at the International Stadium Yokohama after six gruelling weeks of competition. We will transfer you to the the stadium in time to enjoy the unique atmosphere that comes with a Rugby World Cup final, and return you to your hotel when the match finishes.

With elegantly decorated rooms, the Hilton Tokyo overlooks Shinjuku Central Park and the Shinjuku skyscraper district. It has a free shuttle to the Shinjuku Train Station if you want to venture further afield, or the Isetan department store is just a 20-minute walk away if you are in the mood for a bit of shopping. The hotel boasts an indoor pool as well as a sauna and fitness centre, which are all free of charge for guests. You can also take part in a game of tennis on the rooftop or unwind in the hotel’s hot tub! The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast, with a range of western and Japanese dishes, as well as serving drinks and snacks at the bar and lounge.
The Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo Hotel (New Miyako) enjoys a prime position in Kyoto right next to the Kyoto Train Station. Just walking distance from Nishi Hongan-ji Temple and shopping areas the hotel is in a wonderful location from which to explore Kyoto. Breakfast is served in the bright Le Plaisir restaurant serving international dishes.
Surrounded by 10 acres of lush gardens the New Otani features a 400-year-old Japanese garden, as well as the largest outdoor hotel pool in the city. It also boasts the Golden Spa where you can indulge in full pampering treatments, as well as their gym and sauna. The rooms are bright and airy with all modern amenities and large windows. There are a variety of restaurants available, including Kyubey which offers a selection of fine Sushi and Bella Vista which offers Italian cuisine and has views of the Tokyo skyline from the 40th floor.
