Check in at Edinburgh Airport for your flight down to London Heathrow. On arrival, connect through to your flight to Tokyo.
Arrive into Tokyo this morning, clear customs and immigration and connect on to your domestic flight to Nagoya. On arrival, make your own way to your hotel for a two night stay on a room only basis.
Situated between Tokyo and Kyoto, Nagoya is the birthplace of Toyota and known for its friendly and unpretentious people. Spend the rest of the day exploring the sights to include some fantastic museums, temples, parks and excellent shopping.
Today, make your own way by taxi to Toyota City (30 mins from Nagoya) for the first Test between Japan and Scotland taking place this evening.

This morning, check out of your hotel and take a taxi to the station and board the bullet train to the traditional ancient Japanese town of Kyoto. On arrival, take a taxi to your hotel where you will check in for two nights on a room only basis.
Once the capital of Japan, Kyoto is a refined city on the island of Honshu with thousands of classical Buddhist temples, as well as gardens, imperial palaces, Shinto shrines and traditional wooden houses. It’s also known for formal traditions such as kaiseki dining, consisting of multiple courses of precise dishes, and geisha, female entertainers often found in the Gion district.
Today, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Kyoto. Visit the historical sites of Nijo Castle, the Golden Pavilion, Higashi Honganji Temple, a traditional handicraft centre and Kyoto’s Imperial Palace in the heart of the ancient temple. Experience the Japan of old in stark contrast to Tokyo.
This morning, check out of your hotel and take a taxi to the station to board the bullet train to Tokyo. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for a five night stay on a room only basis.
Tokyo is the capital city of Japan, where over 11 million people live, making the population one of the largest in the world. Tokyo is not only the political and economic centre of Japan - it has also emerged as a centre of world economy and culture. Tradition and modern co-exist in giving it a truly unique feel for a capital city.
Today, depart on a full day sightseeing tour to include the observation platform of Tokyo Tower, ancient Meiji Shrine, East Garden of the Imperial Palace and the Ginza shopping district. Enjoy a traditional Japanese lunch before an afternoon cruise on the River Sumida with time to see the Asakusa Kannon Temple and shop in the popular Ueno and Akihabara areas.
Today, travel to see one of the great sights of Japan, Mount Fuji. On arrival, travel to the 5th station of Mount Fuji at an altitude of 8000 ft for views across to the Pacific Ocean. After lunch, continue your tour into the volcanic Hakone National Park for a cable car ride and more stunning views. The day ends with a cruise on Lake Ashinoko before a return to Tokyo on the train.
