Adelaide – Barossa Valley Day Trip - Saturday 9th October

+£125pp

Take time to sample some of the Barossa's finest wines and gourmet food that has made this South Australian wine region an international icon. Your day begins at Pindarie Wines, a family-owned and award-winning cellar door. Here, a member of the winemaking family will share the story of this beautiful property while guiding you through a tasting in the character-filled sandstone stables. Afterwards, relax on the veranda with coffee and cake, taking in the peaceful vineyard setting.

Continue to the main street of Tanunda, where you’ll enjoy free time to explore charming boutiques, galleries and local shops at your own pace. Take in sweeping panoramic views from Mengler Hill Lookout, one of the Barossa’s most scenic vantage points, before heading on to your next destination.

Lunch is served at the stunning Lambert Estate, where vineyard views, local artwork and a sunlit balcony create an unforgettable setting. Enjoy a hosted wine tasting alongside stories from the estate, followed by a generous two-course lunch. Afterwards, unwind with coffee and a 'Chocolatier' (chocolate port) on the balcony.

At Château Tanunda, a cornerstone of Barossa’s winemaking history, you’ll discover over 130 years of heritage. Often regarded as the birthplace of the Barossa wine industry, the estate is home to some of the region’s oldest Shiraz vines. Enjoy a guided walk of the property, paired with a tasting of its wines.

And then it's on to Maggie Beer's Farm Shop, where you will have time to browse the collection for souvenirs to take home, or perhaps enjoy an afternoon treat with a tea/coffee (own cost).

Finish the day with a drive along Seppeltsfield Road, one of the Barossa's most iconic landscapes. As you wind down this historic palm-lined road, you'll pass through a tapestry of lush vineyards, rolling hills, and heritage sights.
