Experience the ultimate whale watching adventure and experience island living on the stunning Moreton Island.
After being collected from your hotel, transfer to the smooth sailing catamaran for the scenic 75-minute journey across to Moreton Island. A tea, coffee or soft drink per guest is included on the journey across to the island.
Once you arrival to Moreton Island there will be a short break on land prior to boarding the Whale Watching cruise which will run from 12:00-15:00. We begin the day with a city loop tour, complete with guided commentary, as you explore the streets of Hobart and visit its major attractions and landmarks. The first destination is the awe-inspiring Kunanyi, also known as Mt. Wellington, where you can indulge in the renowned pristine air of Tasmania. Ascend to the pinnacle at 1272m and be mesmerised by the breathtaking panoramic view of Hobart and its picturesque surroundings.
After admiring the view from the mountain, we will continue our journey through to the scenic Coal River Valley wine region. This region is renowned for its award-winning, cool-climate wines. Along the way, the group will make a quick stop at the acclaimed Wicked Cheese, where you can enjoy a complimentary cheese sampling and purchase local produce from the farm Gate cafe. Then, you will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history and showcases magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire Australia's oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond is also home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break.
But the real magic of the day comes later, when you will visit the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Here, you’ll get up close and personal with some of Tasmania’s and Australia’s most iconic wildlife. It’s a rare opportunity to meet these incredible creatures in their natural habitat, including the cheeky and elusive Tasmanian Devil. From the friendly kangaroos that love a cuddle to the adorable koalas and curious wombats, Bonorong is an experience that truly connects you with the heart of Tasmania.

Your day begins with convenient pick up* before heading towards the mountains. The tour makes stops at the Blue Mountains township of Glenbrook, Elysian Rock lookout, and Echo Point where you’ll witness the iconic Three Sisters rock formation and learn about Aboriginal legends.
Next, immerse yourself in adventure at Scenic World. Experience the thrill of the Scenic Railway, the steepest passenger railway in the world, then glide effortlessly above the rainforest canopy on the Scenic Skyway. Take in panoramic vistas from the gondola before joining a guided rainforest walk, where you will discover the unique flora and fauna of the region.
The tour continues to the serene Katoomba Cascades Waterfalls, where you can stroll along scenic boardwalks and admire the cascading waters. Lunch in a traditional Aussie pub is included, providing an authentic taste of Australia hospitality.
The final stop of the day is a visit to the renowned Sydney Zoo where you can get up close with some of Australia’s most beloved creatures. Your adventure ends with a serene ferry ride back to Sydney under the iconic Harbour Bridge, concluding at Circular Quay at approximately 18:30. From Circular Quay, make your own way back to your accomodation at your leisure.
