Brisbane – Moreton Island Day Trip - Monday 4th October

Experience the ultimate whale watching adventure and experience island living on the stunning Moreton Island.
After being collected from your hotel, transfer to the smooth sailing catamaran for the scenic 75-minute journey across to Moreton Island. A tea, coffee or soft drink per guest is included on the journey across to the island.
Once you arrival to Moreton Island there will be a short break on land prior to boarding the Whale Watching cruise which will run from 12:00-15:00. Expert commentary by an Eco Ranger is included as we embark on the search for these amazing marine animals. Light lunch and refreshments are served on board the cruise.

Your day begins at Pindarie Wines, a family-owned and award-winning cellar door. Here, a member of the winemaking family will share the story of this beautiful property while guiding you through a tasting in the character-filled sandstone stables. Afterwards, relax on the veranda with coffee and cake, taking in the peaceful vineyard setting.
Continue to the main street of Tanunda, where you’ll enjoy free time to explore charming boutiques, galleries and local shops at your own pace. Take in sweeping panoramic views from Mengler Hill Lookout, one of the Barossa’s most scenic vantage points, before heading on to your next destination.
Lunch is served at the stunning Lambert Estate, where vineyard views, local artwork and a sunlit balcony create an unforgettable setting. Enjoy a hosted wine tasting alongside stories from the estate, followed by a generous two-course lunch. Afterwards, unwind with coffee and a 'Chocolatier' (chocolate port) on the balcony.
At Château Tanunda, a cornerstone of Barossa’s winemaking history, you’ll discover over 130 years of heritage. We begin the day with a city loop tour, complete with guided commentary, as you explore the streets of Hobart and visit its major attractions and landmarks. The first destination is the awe-inspiring Kunanyi, also known as Mt. Wellington, where you can indulge in the renowned pristine air of Tasmania. Ascend to the pinnacle at 1272m and be mesmerised by the breathtaking panoramic view of Hobart and its picturesque surroundings.
After admiring the view from the mountain, we will continue our journey through to the scenic Coal River Valley wine region. This region is renowned for its award-winning, cool-climate wines. Along the way, the group will make a quick stop at the acclaimed Wicked Cheese, where you can enjoy a complimentary cheese sampling and purchase local produce from the farm Gate cafe. Then, you will proceed to the historic township of Richmond, which is rich in convict history and showcases magnificent sandstone and colonial buildings. Here, you will have the opportunity to admire Australia's oldest bridge and Catholic church. Richmond is also home to numerous charming eateries, making it the perfect spot for our lunch break.
But the real magic of the day comes later, when you will visit the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Here, you’ll get up close and personal with some of Tasmania’s and Australia’s most iconic wildlife. It’s a rare opportunity to meet these incredible creatures in their natural habitat, including the cheeky and elusive Tasmanian Devil.
