What better excuse to travel than to support your favourite team!
Luckily our supporters’ tours select the ideal locations for combining both the all-important live action whilst also making the most of the exciting attractions in the area. Here are a few highlights of just three of our favourite cities hosting upcoming events!
Sydney (ICC Men’s T20 World Cup)
There is so much to see and do in Sydney, it’s hard to know where to start!
Visiting the famous sights is easy – you can catch a play or Opera at the famous Opera House at Darling Harbour, cross (or for the adventurous, climb) the Sydney Harbour Bridge and visit the Royal Botanical Garden or Zoo close by.
Bondi Beach is also a close trip from the city, with a great café culture that’s right next to the world-famous sandy beach. Sydney is also home to a host of fabulous bars and restaurants, as well as world-class shopping, so you’ll never be short of things to do when you’re not watching cricket.
Cape Town (South Africa Sevens)
A rugby destination like no other, the city is so passionate about the sport!! We’ve just returned from the Sevens held here and we just can’t say enough good things about this city- there is something for everyone! Firstly, you have the magnificent Table Mountain, where you can take a cable car to the top and enjoy unparalleled views of the city and ocean. You can also head to one of the many gorgeous beaches – our favourite is the white sandy beach at Camps Bay. The city is also home to the bustling Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, where you can choose from a huge variety of restaurants, but we highly recommend you go for what South Africa does best – beautiful red wine and steak! Cape Town is also perfectly located for trips down to Cape Point and Boulders Bay, to see the penguins on the beach which is not one to miss.

Hong Kong (Sevens)
Hong Kong is a must to visit, an exotic bustling city, full of sights and culture!
It’s essential when you’re in Hong Kong to take the traditional old Star Ferry between Hong Kong to Kowloon- from there you can get a great view of both sides of the city. Another must-do is to visit the famous viewpoint at Victoria Peak (you can hike up or take the tram), where you’ll see the famous skyline of skyscrapers that you’ll recognise from many pictures and postcards of the city.
When visiting, you should drop into one of the many excellent dim sum restaurants and sample the oriental cuisine, or even dine on one of the floating restaurants in the harbour. A walk across the harbour front is not something to be missed, especially in the evening when the spectacular Symphony of Light Show highlights the building and skyline to music and before visiting one of the many busy night markets.
There is also a traditional, spiritual side to this city, with busy beautiful temples, which you can respectfully enter and experience. There is the famous Po Lin Monastery just outside the city, which is easily reachable and is home to the Big Buddha (Tian Tan), an unmissable sight.
