Gullivers Sports Travel, the UK’s leading rugby tour operator, has today announced a partnership for 2017 with OddBalls, a clothing company that aims to raise money and awareness for testicular cancer.
OddBalls - who boast the likes of rugby legends Mike Tindall, Adam Jones and Lewis Moody as supporters - will be partnering with Gullivers for the Six Nations and Lions tours this year. Gullivers’ clients will be given a limited edition ‘Obble’ Oddballs hat as part of their popular tour packages.
Gullivers’ Managing Director, Sam Seward commented:
“We’re proud to be partnering with OddBalls this year to give our clients something unique, smart and very warm to wear out on tour, but most importantly, to raise awareness of men’s health and how/when to properly check yourself for signs of testicular cancer. We look after over 8,000 rugby supporters on tour every year and encourage every one of our male clients to check their balls!”
Will Cooper, Managing Director of OddBalls, added:
“Testicular Cancer affects nearly 2,500* men in the UK every year and has seen a 90% increase since the 1970’s*, so raising awareness of this cancer is highly important. Partnering with Gullivers means we can raise further awareness amongst adult males, and with our synergy with rugby, the Gullivers Six Nations and Lions tours this year are a perfect fit.”
